For Women

It's critical to look after your reproductive health, yet many women struggle to locate a clinic where they feel completely at ease. We build connections with all of our clients at the MedOne Medical Centre, building a feeling of community and trust. We have the experience to be there for you every step of the way, no matter what your health requirements are.

It's always better to be safe than sorry, so make an appointment for your women's health check-up now!

Counseling for Women Before They Get Pregnant

Pre-pregnancy counselling will assist you in physically and psychologically preparing for the next part of your life. We offer advice to women or couples who are ready to start a family, including:

  • How you keep track of my menstrual cycles
  • Which prenatal vitamins you should take
  • When you should get a pregnancy test
  • Dietary suggestions
  • Exercising advice

We urge that all first-time moms, as well as women with persistent medical issues, attend at least one pre-pregnancy session. We welcome partners to attend and provide all of the assistance the expecting mother requires during this joyful and often stressful time.

Pap Smear/Cervical Screening Test

A Pap test examines the cervix for abnormal cells and precancerous cells. At the same time, an HPV test, which searches for the human papillomavirus, may be performed to determine the aetiology of any precancerous alterations.

The operation itself is moderately unpleasant, but it will not cause any long-term injury or suffering. We'll send the sample to a pathologist for testing once your doctor gets it. Your findings will normally arrive within a few days, and your doctor will be able to explain what they signify to you.

Breast Exams

Breast cancer can be detected early if you examine your breasts on a regular basis. During your planned women's health exam, your doctor will do a physical breast examination. If you are over 50, we will also schedule a mammography screening to get a more in-depth look at your breast tissue.

Contraception and Family Planning

When a woman is ready, she has the right to start a family. While unintended pregnancies might be a pleasant coincidence, most individuals prefer to start their family on their own terms. A planned pregnancy has a better effect on your physical and emotional health than a joyful accident.

The use of effective contraception is part of family planning. You can quit utilising contraceptives as soon as you're ready to start or expand your family. We assist women in selecting the most appropriate contraception for their requirements from a variety of alternatives, including:

  • Hormonal contraception
  • Long-acting reversible contraceptives
  • Barrier contraception
  • Permanent contraception

Implanon

Implanon is a contraceptive implant that prevents conception with a 99.95 percent success rate. It's Australia's only subdermal contraceptive implant, and it's accessible at our clinic.

Inserting and removing the implant is generally painless, and our specialists can complete the process in a matter of minutes.

Management of Menopause

Menopause may have a big influence on a woman's life, so having a solid management plan in place will help you get through it. We provide a variety of therapies to address the various symptoms associated with menopause.
